Your step-by-step roadmap to getting your family photography business started and growing.

Most new photographers try to piece everything together on their own, a YouTube video here, a Facebook thread there, and end up stuck because they don’t know what to do first or they're getting too much conflicting information.

So this course follows The Photo Path, my simple framework that walks you through the exact stages of building a family photography business that lasts:

Module 1:

Prepare to Charge

This section briefly covers the core areas that affect the final images you deliver, like light, composition, directing, and editing, so you can decide when you’re ready to take paid sessions.

You’ll also get two bonus lessons that offer context around gear choices and a simple example of how a photography workflow can be set up, without getting complicated or overly technical.

Module 2:

Hone Your Brand

Know who you want to serve and how to attract the right families.

Get clear on your brand vibe, business name, niche, and online presence so you can stand out authentically.

Module 3:

Organize the Biz Side

Get your emails, contracts, taxes, and payments set up so you feel in control, not confused.

This module covers everything you need to legally protect yourself, how to manage payments, and client communication.

Module 4:

Take on Paid Sessions

Start booking paid sessions with intention.

Build a portfolio that showcases your style, begin reaching real clients, and understand pricing so you’re not undercharging.

Module 5:

Own Your Growth

(Your First Year in Business)

Why learn from Becca?

Back in 2010, I decided to turn my camera obsession into a business, but there was no guidebook for how to actually do that. I spent years figuring things out the long way: undercharging, guessing at prices, hoping clients would magically find me, and wondering if I’d ever be able to make it work.

There weren’t resources made for family photographers, so I had to figure it all out myself. Very slowly and painfully.

Fast forward to now: I’ve built a business that supports my family, connects me with incredible clients, and lets me spend sunsets with families all over the Pacific Northwest. My adventure sessions are known for being laid-back, fun, and full of laughter.

But after photographing tons of families and teaching other photographers for years, I’ve seen the same pattern over and over: amazing photographers stuck or giving up because no one ever showed them the business side.

Which is why I made this course... so you don’t have to spend years guessing like I did.
You’ll learn what matters, in an order that makes sense, from someone who’s been exactly where you are.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long will it take me to complete?
A: You can move through all the videos in a day if you binge it, but most students take a few weeks so they can do the action steps along the way. It’s designed to be simple and doable, even if you only have small windows of time. Most lessons are between 4 and 10 minutes so I suggest 1-2 lessons a day and you'll be done in 2-3 weeks!

Q: Do I need fancy gear?
A: Not at all. You’ll learn how to use what you already have and when (or if) it makes sense to upgrade. Great photography is about light, emotion, and connection, not the price tag on your camera.

Q: What if I’ve already started my business?
A: This course is made for new photographers so if you've only recently started, this course is still for you. It helps you strengthen the parts of your business most people skip early on, like pricing, communication, and client experience, so you can feel confident and run your business like a pro.

Will I learn how to edit, pose, or use my camera?
A: I will talk briefly about things like lighting, composition, etc but it's mostly about the business side. You’ll learn how to turn what you love doing into a real, sustainable business, so all the creative skills you’re learning can lead somewhere amazing.

Q: I’m not sure I’m ready to start a business yet. Should I wait?
A: This course walks you step by step through the business side so you can decide if you want to build a paid photography business with informed choices instead of wasting months (or years) trying to figure it out alone.

Q: Do I get lifetime access?
A: Yes! You’ll have lifetime access to all the lessons, action steps, bonuses, and any updates. You can come back anytime as your business grows.

Q: Why is it such a good deal? It seems too good to be true.
A: I priced it low on purpose so new photographers could actually afford it. There’s no catch, I just wanted to make something that helps you get your business going without spending a fortune.
